Our History





Founded in 1963, Cee Bee Cartage started out as a small operation but gradually evolved into a full enterprise by 1977 and has continued on its expansion, both through the continuous acquisition of cutting edge equipment and space, as well as through business endeavors and affiliate network reach.


As a family business, the founder, Mr. Capone, has spent his entire professional career growing this business and passing on his vast knowledge of refrigerated transport to his four sons: Tony, Chris, and Tim, who actively manage the day to day operations, and Jimmy who manages maintenance and repairs.


Between the five of them, these men comprise a total of 200 years worth of industry knowledge and customer excellence.

ANTHONY CAPONE, SR.





In 1963, Anthony Capone Sr. started out as a foreman at Cee Bee Cartage Inc. Through his dedication and commitment to customer service, Anthony single-handedly grew the business from just one truck all the way up to a full blown enterprise when he was made partner in 1977. From there, Cee Bee was transformed and positioned for success.


Throughout it all, Anthony has put (and continues to put) his heart and soul into Cee Bee Cartage. From driving trucks to unloading trucks, there is no task that he couldn’t do.


He's also a visionary. In the 80's, he began using tractor trailors to haul refrigerated transport, which was something quite unheard of at that time. Now, this is completely commonplace in the transport of refrigerated goods: both short and long haul.


With over 53 years of dedicated service, Anthony Capone has created a lasting legacy for his family, which now extends to three generations. That same commitment to 'giving it your all' for your customers has been deeply engrained within the Capone bloodline and will continue to provide superior service in the many years to come.



Our Scope





Along with an extensive network of both dry and reefer van access, Cee Bee Cartage operates a fleet of 11 state of the art trucks and 17 reefer units and handles approximately (100) moves per week. Primary repeat customers include food distributors, grocery store chains, breweries, food delivery service providers, and local restaurants throughout the greater Chicago and Illinois area.


Moreover, with a cold storage facility of 12500 sq ft and access to both ambient and multi-temp chambers and chill docks through their affiliate partnerships, Cee Bee has the flexibility to handle all your warehousing needs. Whether it’s cross docking, trans loading, consolidating or deconsolidating for LTL services, Cee Bee Cartage Inc. works side by side with you to draft up a custom solution that satisfies all of your business’ transport needs.


For Cee Bee Cartage, quality is #1. Their trailers are kept in immaculate condition to ensure strict hygienic standards are met. Moreover, all employees are fluent in English, trained on all forms of manual and powered industrial warehousing equipment, and have been with the company 5+ years.
